Tijuana Shropshire is a passionate community leader and founder of Positive Innergy Period, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting menstrual poverty and empowering women and girls through education, resources, and support. With over 20 years of experience in service to her community, she has committed her life to uplifting individuals and families facing challenges.

 

Through her nonprofit, Tijuana works tirelessly to distribute menstrual products, provide education on menstrual health, uterine health, mental health, financial literacy, career development, and building a strong mindset. Her vision extends beyond meeting immediate needs; she is dedicated to empowering individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilled lives.

 

A seasoned youth leader within her church, Tijuana has assisted, organized and led various community events such as back to school bookbag drives, productions, breast cancer and empowerment walks, soup kitchens, holiday meals, provide clothing, and menstrual product distribution, always striving to give back and meet the most urgent needs of her community. Her dedication to the younger generation is evident through her work in local schools, where she has provided young girls with menstrual products, hygiene supplies, and valuable education to help them better understand their health and well-being.

 

Tijuana also serves as a member of her community board. Her leadership on the board helps shape policies and initiatives that prioritize the well-being of underserved populations, also, ensuring that menstrual health remains a key issue in local discussions and actions.

 

In addition to her grassroots work, Tijuana has formed meaningful partnerships with organizations to offer workshops, seminars, and retreats that focus on building confidence, developing leadership skills, and promoting mental well-being. These initiatives are designed to equip young girls and women with the tools they need to succeed and thrive in life.

 

Her unwavering dedication to serving others stems from her deep faith and calling as one of God's servants. Tijuana’s work continues to inspire change and create lasting impact, and she remains steadfast in her purpose and mission to empower and uplift women and girls within her community and beyond.
